SEHS Media Center Mission and Purpose

The Stanhope Elmore Library mission is give students the opportunity to become safe and ethical users of digital information as well as critical thinkers and to develop useful research skills and to become enthusiastic readers. Students need to know how to access the information they need and to discern the information availbale to them. The goal is to ensure that students have that information and know how to use it.

SEHS Media Center Information and Policies

  • Students may check out up to two books at a time
  • Students may keep the books for one month from the date of checkout
  • Students will pay a fine of .25 per day the book is late
  • Once the book fine caps at 5.00, the book is deemed lost and the student will pay the cost to have the book replaced. *This includes if the book is severely damaged.
  • If students need longer than a month to finish their books, they may bring to the Library before the initial due date and renew it.
