Bio
Hello! Thanks for dropping by. My name is Shay Atchison. I am excited about this year and look forward to much learning and excitement. I grew up in Holtville and attended Elmore County Public Schools until the ninth grade when my family moved to Alabaster where I graduated from Thompson High School in 1990. I then pursued my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Montevallo and graduated with honors in 1994. In 2004 I completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Education as well as Library Media Certification (2006) from the University of West Alabama. I have one child, Jake, who attends Stanhope Elmore! I have spent the majority of my teaching career in the Millbrook community. In my free time I enjoy vacationing with friends and family, scrapbooking, reading, movies, and Alabama football. #wearese
